R.I.P. Uncle Phil

I thought we'd go all the way to sign-off together, but all you ever met was your maker. So enthused to gather the innocent, meandering minds of new Big Brand employees and focus their glassy eyes on the world of cellular salesmanship, you never saw coming the focus-group smiles and head-shine double-glances that would forebear your now-overplayed demise. It could have been the comb over. It could have been the tache. It could've been the underlying creepiness sadly precedes an old man that is just too damn happy. What could he hiding?

Wisdom... Not for mass consumption.

Off her rocker!

I recently worked on a project with Iris London for Sony Ericsson RAW Sessions. I had to create 12 character identities to be animated into various stings for the sort of rock-band-competition-type-reality-show thing in the UK. Over the coming weeks I'll be posting the characters individually, with random titles, in an attempt to break the monotony of solemn-looking semi-naked pastelised female forms without actually creating anything new. I will, however, amongst the posting of these characters and the weekly nudes, attempt to create something new.

We open with Possessed-by-Youth Granny:

Feisty!

There's a bit more info on the Iris blog.

Once I get hold of the final videos I'll post the whole project on my website.

Some work I been meaning to post up, following on from the Album artwork I created for New Academics last year.
The first single was called Fuzz...

PASOP

This is a t-shirt I recently illustrated for my friend Bradley for the brand Love Jozi. Below are a couple of progressions we left behind..

This above was the more original shape - I transformed it in photoshop a few times to give it more bulk...

I liked this bottom one... BEWARE OF THE DOGMA!

Parrrrty.

This is a quickish job I did last weekend for a friend of mine's company end-of-year function...

Vector stuff

Just some recent work to fill the gaps. This job was a bit awkward. Apparently the client, a tampon manufacturer, didn't really want any penises working on the job. So this is all I got in before being snuffed.

BBC Blast sting

I dug up this 40 second sting I was involved in last year for BBC Blast - a creative network for the British youth. It was done with a mix of still frame and Flash. I did all the Flash stuff...

Crudely chiseled album art

A few months ago I was approached by a South African band, called New Academics, to do the cover art for their new album, called "The Apple". The album has just been independently released, and it sounds as golden as it looks. (Literally - I used a 875c...)
